Book #11
Living History
by Hillary Rodham Clinton
538 pages
I have to say I found this book for the most part to be disappointing. Even though it was written after Clinton had already obtained her Senate seat and years before she ran for the presidency, it just read to me like a really long campaign speech. I will say that it did improve in the last few chapters. Hillary's thoughts on the impeachment, probably for her the hardest part to write, were for me the best. I mean basically it boiled down to, "I wanted to effing kill him, but I'm an intelligent human being who worked on an actual impeachment and I knew this one was total bullshit." But you know, in more elegant prose. Also, her thoughts on deciding to run for Senate and how she campaigned in New York were interesting. Anyway, I finally finished it and now I am reading a new Shopaholic book to balance things out.
