'vampire knight' (season 1)

i started reading the manga series late last year upon a friend's recommendation.  i liked it, although i've only gone through three volumes so far.  i was pretty excited when i found out that it was being adapted into an anime series.  i waited for the premiere and the succeeding episodes after that.  season one has ended this week with 13 episodes and season two will start in october of this year.  from what i've gathered, the shojo manga is an ongoing series.  hhhmmmm... does this mean that there will be more vampire knight seasons to come?  the end of season one was such a cliffhanger.  i was left with tons of questions --  will zero turn into a level-e vampire?  what is kaname's real intentions on cross academy, zero and yuuki?  who will yuuki choose in the end... kaname or zero?  what happens to zero's twin brother ichiru? -- the list goes on.  i enjoyed the anime series.  it was dark, twisted, engaging, had a different take on vampires and their social strata and had some fanservicing for bl lovers peppered here and there.  an added bonus was that the seiyuu of zero was mamoru miyano who happened to be the seiyuu of light in death note and of tamaki-kun in ouran highschool host club.  mamoru definitely brought zero to life and added depth to the character's persona and dark tragic past.
