Today's musician: Bambino
I don't know that much about him, but he's a Tuareg rock guitarist from Niger. He's releasing a new CD called "Agadez" in summer or fall, and I think he's going on tour in the US soon as well. I believe he's also released two albums on vinyl under the name "Group Bombino".

There's more of his music on Youtube, though it can be somewhat difficult to find since "bambino" is a common word. Usually it helps to search for "bambino tuareg" or "bambino niger" (without the quotes), something like that. There are also other recordings of his on the Hype Machine website.
