I should be working, but hey, there are more important things in life!! Anyway, I'm so glad I decided to play hooky for a couple of minutes and check my email.

If it's true that brevity is the soul of wit, I'm usually the slackest-jawed person in the room. But right now, I'm about to be a veritable Oscar Wilde. Because I really don't have the words to properly describe my reaction, apart from ....

EEEEE! OMG! *Sigh*

But seriously, I wished that I've taken art crit classes, lack of talent notwithstanding, so that I have the right language for this. When I said "story book illustration", I was vaguely thinking of something like this - sweet and almost child-like, but very much so ART. This evokes the picture in my mind when I wrote this scene.

Since I'm not equipped to talk about art beyond saying "Oh, I like that!", let me just say that I LOVE IT. Especially the autumnal colors, and the fact that you chose to have Luke wear a shirt/hoodie in THAT particular color :). Impeccable taste, my dear. And most of all, Noah's face!!! *sighs and swoons* So, so pretty, and the proportions are so well-judged.

I also kind of love that you chose to illustrate the "math" part of the scene. The nerd in me approves.

Oh well, Oscar didn't last very long, did he?

Thank you so much for this! I have to get back to work, and but I'm going back in a MUCH better mood now :).

Ha! Oh gosh Rikki. Between this and the email you sent, I think I might go hide under a rock to shield my blushy face from all these nice words!

I really, REALLY appreciate the feedback! In some ways it's kind of a scary thing being on this end, because I dread not getting it right. But to your credit, good writing, whether it be descriptive, or just very clear in it's feeling/mood, is really what helps. Cause I couldn't get it right if you weren't effective in getting your idea on the screen in the first place!

And I'm so glad you were okay with the little bit I chose. I think I already said it, but I dunno. I just loved that little part. It was equal parts cute, funny, sweet, and just so happily them that I couldn't resist. I also am a sucker for little descriptions of contact like that. I like my boys best when they're snuggling or any variation there of. :D

But anyway. I can't really think of anything else to say except THANK YOU, I loved your story (will actually give a real comment on it soon, promise) and I'm glad to have worked with you! 'Twas a pleasure and an even GREATER pleasure knowing I might've afforded you a smile and a better mood for working! :D
