Taeyeon is suffering from insomnia. She thinks too much when she needs not; small things become large and out of nowhere fictions became real. She worries all the time, will I ever be accepted? Why are there so many haters for us? How will I present myself? Is there something wrong with me? Is being me enough?
Is holding on worth it?
Her mind spins with no, but her body still moves. Songs remembered into her flesh, every flex of her muscle grew tired but she never let go. Lyrics at the tip of her tongue, rolling out and never back in; Taeyeon never takes back what she says but it doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to.
The worries carry on, skies turn dark and stars are too bright, her eye lids are forced up. Taeyeon suffers from tiredness and exhaustion, raw shouting of crowds and inevitable arguments with her thoughts.
She can never win over her faults, no one does, but other people can. That's why there're nine, nine beautiful girls and not just only looks because they have brains. They have minds, they have emotions and bond, and nothing breaks that even the faults that Taeyeon cannot cure.
"Hey."
Taeyeon looks up from her knees, she blinks a couple of times and stare at a faint familiar smile. She doesn’t want anyone to see when she's like this. She's the leader, nothing can be wrong with her.
"Hey."
Taeyeon stares retract her thoughts for a moment.
"Taeyeon-ah." Words breathe out. "Are you okay?"
"Yes." Behind the word there's always something wrong.
There's a chuckle. "Can't sleep?"
She doesn’t answer, the other already knew.
"I know that the jet lag is pretty bad, other girls are outside watching stuff want to join?"
Taeyeon smiles.
"I think so." She stands up and looks at the clock.
5:00 AM
Maybe sleep is just all overrated for them.
