Hello internet, I'm back!

For a while at least, until the next essay drives me back into a hole, at least!

This will be bit of everything I'm afraid, lots to catch up on.

My niece (kinda, it's a bit more complicated than that, but niece just about covers it!) is now recovering from a really bad bout of something. Just before Christmas she had to have her appendix taken out, and now she has had a twisted and bowel that needed to be sorted out. They left her nearly comatose for nearly two weeks drugged up and full of tubes before they decided to dig in and fix it, but have finally got her sorted out. Thank the heavens for that.

Dink is now recovering from the dodgy kneecaps surgery. She has to have the pins taken out on the 21st, but apart from that, she is fabulous, bouncing around to her old self. Except when she remembers, and is in a mood for some sympathy.

College is kind of crazy. I'm submitting work that I'm convinced is in foreign, completely off topic and just really the work of a brain dead imbecile, and maintaining a steady 63%. How I am doing this is a complete mystery to me, but I'm going to try and keep on, in the hope that I somehow manage to fluke a pass. I only need 40% for a minimum pass, and they don't seem to be expecting anyone to be getting 70% or above, so I only hope that whatever I am accidentally doing can carry on for the next 3 years!

Hubby has started his new job, which is good! Working away for the last 3 weeks and the next 3 weeks, which is not so good. I know millions of women only see their other halves at weekends, and manage to cope with kid, stuff, and all that without any problem, but I'm just not used to it, and some things are accidentally falling through the cracks. The only major one at the moment is that I forgot to go to parents evening... Sigh. Grovelled and saw the teacher after school today, and as it turns out, Boyo appears to be a little star at school. Shame he can't be at home for me!

Next Sunday I have to deliver my first sermon! How scary is that! Should be OK. It's the ten commandments, and I plan to quote Stephen Fry, just to spice it up a bit!

Right, got to collect Boyo from musical theater class in a mo, so I'm off.

course, random, dink, family, church
