My friend is coming to visit today and I liked what Gigis said about thinking about our relationship as a new type of friendship. We can hopefully start over and not carry any of the baggage from before. She has two little ones as well and I am really excited to see them. We've known each other for over twenty years, so I feel an important connection to her kids. I just wish I saw them more often. Maybe that can start to happen.
I need to buy Jon his Father's Day gift. I think I know what I want to get him, but I'm not going to say because he might peek at my journal. Nah, he wouldn't think to do that, but I'm paranoid. Our friend is throwing a birthday party for her son on Father's Day smack in the middle of the day. Makes it kind of tough to do anything with our families. What should I do to surprise Jon?
