i'm sitting here wishing i had a piece of naan to enjoy with my Trader Joe's nuclear war indian meal. instead i'm eating slowly, digging all around the bowl with a spoon, making sure there aren't chunks of glass mixed therein. oh naan, why do i love you so much?

Eating Trader Joe's Indian food is dancing with danger. I think Hemingway used to do that.

I have always aspired to be one of the original expat art set.

The Naan Also Rises?

Sorry, my brain needs beer.

I went to this megawarehouse of Indian food today, and have pretty much decided that while Trader Joe's is yummy (glass and all), they're overrated and still comparatively expensive. I just got a whole BAG of samosas (the bag claims to hold 25 of them!) for $6.99! And lots and lots of naan for $2.49.

Now, if there's a finger or rathead in this, I'm just going to give up on Indian food entirely.

This warehouse did not, however, have instant-dinner-in-a-silver-bag. At least none that I could recognize upon quick breezethrough. Hmm. What to do.

there is no doubt that indian groceries are the cheapest place to get indian grub (not to mention spices in bulk!) but yeah, no instant dinner for us single or busy layabouts.

i think your megawarehouse has MI beat--i've NEVER seen samosas that cheap for that amount!
