So, Mike went to talk to the Mayor yesterday and today... and did not catch him. But he did talk to the editor of the Tooele Transcript newspaper today, and we have a meeting on Monday with him for a long sit down talk about everything. So, he says that this story should be out in next Tuesdays paper. Hopefully they are not as currupt as some claim, and they will portray us in a positive way. We'll see Tuesday, I suppose. You never can tell about this town....
The City 'Recorder' called us yesterday, and said that we have 15 days to paint the building 'one color' or they are pulling our license. He says that they will hold a 'public' meeting (two weeks from today-Wed.) about it if it is not painted over, and everyone can show up there in support of us if they want- but no one will be allowed to speak. He said that we (Mike and I) will.... but the last planning and zoning meeting that they had regarding us, they said the same thing and when we tried to speak- we were told to sit down and be quiet because it was not an "Open Forum" public meeting. So, I don't know....
Mike wants to fight it all the way.... and so does part of me too... But I also think it might be best to just paint it one putrid color (like florescent hunter orange or something) and just keep open until we can move. We cannot afford to be closed for business. We need money to live on. It sucks because we have lots of friends, family, and clients that want and need us here- but Tooele City just plain sucks.
I can't wait to get the fuck out of here!...
Hey look at this picture...

*There's many beautiful pictures of Hawaii on that site too*
We were supposed to have a big dealy at the shop on Saturday the 22nd, but we are not going to now. We do not have the money right now, and we did not get our advertising, bands, etc. together fast enough. Oh well. It's a good thing that we have plenty enough clientele to keep us going, with out any advertising at all! Word of mouth is the best advertising anyways. It has done us great for 4 years now anyways....
But there is no doubt that adveritsing does help tremendously.
(Especially with 'The Bradshaw's' brilliant ad creations!)
Soon we will be advertising in SLC for a tattooist. *Yikes*
So many idiots out there who think they know, but have no idea. So hard to find the right ones for our high standards.
The world is filled with SO MANY wanna-be tattooists and piercers, and it is rare to find the few who are truely Professionals, or even have that potential. Most are in to it for the money, not the progress of thier art and dedication to the Professional Tattoo and/or Piercing Industry as a whole. It takes a lot of sacrifice to be good at what you do, and to make a living off of what you love. It definately does not come easy. And it is hard to find that kind of dedication, and even harder to try to instill that into others. Trust me. *Fuckin' A, Ma'in!*
I need to get another counter helper, and another piercer eventually also.
(*Hint Hint* Mr. Jaysin... I really want you to sublease your pad and move out here so that we can get our shit situated for the big move to Hawaii. If not, then as soon as possible.)
We are thinking about managing out the Tooele Berserk when we move, just to keep a good shop in this pathetic shite!hole town... and so that we will have 2 locations and another income too! Good for your reputation to have more than 1 location too. I just want to try my best to make sure that we have reliable and truely excellent Artists and Piercers, and counter helpers, etc. in there before we go...... Or.......
I will fire them from Hawaii!!!!! grrrrr...
If they are under our business name, they better rock entirely, or not at all! (Including ~but not limited to~ reliability, sanitation and sterility practices, bedside manner, as well as with thier craft!)...Right, Right?!...
Well, my babies are out of school soon... I am so glad to have someone dependable to care for them. Thank You, MoFaSSa, for taking such good care of my babies and being such a good friend to us. We ALL loves ya!:)
I have to shut this down for now, it's time for me to cook a yummy dinner of chicken-fried finger steaks, red potatoes, asparagus with cheese, and corn (for those who hate the asparagus)... *Dee lish E O soo!*
I will get back at you sometime soon.
*Loves*
