Remembering Kyle

It's been a while since I've updated. I moved in with Josh the weekend of Jully 4th. We are doing great. Our 2 years is in October. I can't believe we made it this far. My little Clayton turned one. He's so funny. As soon as he started walking, he started running! He's definitley a wild child! And such a sweet baby.

So. Last Tuesday was Josh's 21st birthday. We weren't planning on really doing anything since Mike & Kyle's birthday was that Friday they were just all gonna go out. We went over to Chip's just to hang out. Of course I was the only girl. It was just me, Josh, Chip, Craig, Hobbit, Mike, & Kyle. About 9:30 Kyle and Craig left... in separate trucks. 10 seconds later Craig rushed back to the house to tell us Kyle had wrecked his truck about 500 yards from Chip & Stacy's house. The guys ran down there, but I stayed at Chip's because the baby was sleeping. The cops and ambulance were down there within a minute. Josh and Chip came back and all they were saying was Kyle is hurt and unconscience. We got the kids up and loaded in the truck because one of the cops had told us to go the hospital. Well the road was blocked off so we couldn't get anywhere. We just stood in the yard waiting to know something or for the ambulance to move so we could get to the hospital. Obviously we were wondering why the ambulance hadn't left yet to take Kyle to the hospital, but had to stay postive. We knew he was okay. It wasn't until about an hour later until we heard someone scream. Kyle's mom. We then learned that Kyle was gone. We rushed to the hospital to be with everyone. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life, just the knowing feeling of Kyle being gone.

All last week we were with Kyle's family and us close friends. We all came together as one family to get through it. We laughed and cried, went through old pictures, talked, and missed him. Friday night we went to Jacksonville to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate Mike & Kyle's birthday. There was about 35 of us who went. We had a lot of fun, but it just seemed like Kyle should have been there. It didn't seem real all week, and still really doesn't. But it makes you realize that your life or anyones life can be taken just like that. Kyle walked out of Chip's house and told us all "Bye" and 30 seconds later, his life was gone. It's not fair that we have to deal with this. But its life and life isn't fair. Kyle was an amazing person and a great friend to me and to everyone else. I will never forget him and I know he's shining down on me right now and all the time. He is my angel now.

Kyle, We know you're with the Lord now having a good time up there. You're always on our mind. We know you're watching over us, and even though we can't see you, we know you're always here with us. We love you Kyle and we'll never forget you!
