I KNOW. I hate that about shounen manga. Do ten year old boys somehow have a magic ability to figure this stuff out? But I agree, I just wait for the characters to comment on what's happening. Or watch the anime.

I frankly would have had no idea what was going on with Robin and the poneglyphs if it weren't for your summaries.
I get confused every time the poneglyphs come up, because there is so much that we're still not supposed to understand (plus there tend to be long lapses between reveals on that topic). It will be interesting to re-read those parts once more has been revealed. Although... let's just say that SOME things have had a lot more light cast on them in relatively recent arcs. Wow.
Can you remember how much has been revealed about the Void Century up until now? I wonder how much knowledge I might be unconsciously importing back in from later stages in the story.
(I went back and revised a few details in the scene with the poneglyphs, btw, because there is quite a lot going on there that might be important later.)
