Sara Ramirez - Lush Dark Hair & Evolving Style Power

Jul 05, 2007 04:30

This is from a post about Sara at HollywoodAndMane.com. Somebody mentioned on a Grey's related board...

Sara Ramirez is transforming right before our star watching eyes into a bona fide Hollywood goddess.

Don’t get me wrong, the lovely Sara has never been a slouch in the hair and beauty department, it’s just that she has turned up the heat several notches in her look over the past year.

Blessed with thick glossy midnight black hair that throws off a megawatt shimmer, Sara shows off her tresses with an array of textured curls that offset her beautiful face.

She has sexy curves that men and women (it takes some of the be-skinny heat off) around the globe admire and appreciate.

Just recently she rocked the Crystal and Lucy Award carpet in a smoking tangerine gown that showed off her toned back and played up her lush tresses.

Sara’s willingness to demonstrate that you can be drop dead gorgeous, with some meat on your bones, is refreshing and admirable. In many respects Sara’s evolving glamour girl Red Carpet looks evoke memories of Old Hollywood ala Elizabeth Taylor and Natalie Wood.

Whether Sara is styling herself or has a celeb stylist tucked away somewhere in the back of her dressing room, she has been appearing in a some eye popping gowns lately.

All of them work perfectly with her beautiful curves and natural skin, eye and hair tones.

Personally I think Sara looks most stunning when she wears her hair cascading down around her shoulders set in sensuous ripples.

Recently she appeared on the Red Carpet with a sleek bun that had an usual mushroom shape (see image below).

The bun was similar in design to a topknot style bun worn by an Oscar de la Renta model in the February 2007 edition of W magazine. The only difference was that the model’s bun was fronted by a large rectangular barrette what actually downplayed the shape somewhat.

I personally didn’t think the topknot did anything to promote Sara’s beauty. If anything, I think the updo stole attention away from her soft flirty gown and beautiful accessories.

Sara, who often wears a forehead fringe to show off her eyes, might have looked softer with a slight fringe, in which case the bun might have worked for her. Of course that’s just my humble hair obsessed opinion.

I read an interview with Sara not too long ago (no, I don’t remember the exact magazine) where she talked about how when she first entered the acting business she agonized over her body, weight and curves.

She noted in the interview her relief to discover that the roles she was awarded encouraged her to just be herself.

If anything, Sara’s jet black hair, dark eyes and sensous curves are a dramatic contrast to many of the current Hollywood starlets and stars including many of her co-stars on Grey’s Anatomy where she currently makes waves as the sassy smart and strong willed Dr. Callie Torres.

I for one can’t wait to see what Sara will show up wearing for her next Hollywood grand entrance. I’m sure based on her current record it will be eye popping and mouth dropping. Kudos to her hairdressers, make-up artists and stylists. Sara looks marvelous.
