Fairies in the Dark

this is one of my favorite poems, its been published and recorded, and i was also nominated for poet of the year for it, but that kinda feel through, whatever though...i like it.

Fairies in the dark
Seducers of the night
Daytime they vanish
Scatter at the light

Why can't I be like that
Try to hide away
Deeds go unnoticed
By the light of day

So many mysteries
That we want to make
There needs to be a sacrifice
So our identities we take

Women of the sea
Illusion it may seem
Are they really there
Possibilities waver like a dream

They are so lucky
Get to fade
Into the blue depths
Their hideout they have made

Princess's make believe
Prince Charming will always come
Rescue from captivation
Reality becomes numb

Live in an un-cracked world
Girls find their one true love
Beautiful boys become heroes
Floating in the clouds above
