Dark.

The naturally silken lips were parted slightly, the large gray eyes staring off ahead, dazed as if in an entirely different reality then the one the woman was currently standing in. The dressing gown was gorgeous on the frail luscious frame, the length of it reaching the floor, the sheer material leaving little to the imagination. Slowly a hand as pale as the cloth slid up that perfect waist, then slowly around pulling the warm body against his own frigid cold one. Slowly the fingertips of his opposite hand crept along the curve of her neck, ever so lightly, trailing over the soft skin and golden strands of hair clinging to the flesh. The rain pelted the woman’s body, soaking the material through and causing it to cling and hug every single inch of the warm flesh just as much as it caused the locks to cling to the slightly chilled skin.

“I love you.” Those three words Josline wanted to hear, so he softly whispered them into one ear, his hands moving now to encircle her waist, as if he were hugging her. Slowly she turned, those eyes blinking once slowly the attention becoming focused on Marius for a moment, before he slowly bent his head his lips pressing gently against the side of her neck. The only thing lighting them was the moonlight, the woods were empty about the woman’s parent’s mansion. Josline, she’d come out to see him although she’d been warned not to. Pulling back his own pale lips he grinned as his teeth slid into the tender flesh of the woman he’d just proclaimed to love. Slowly he began to suck, feeling the flash of copper life against his tongue as his throat went to work taking in her life. The heart beat of the fluttering young treat began to slow, and slow until finally he released her. The choice had been hers, there had been the question and she’d answered it honestly. The body was loose, and easy to gently set on the damp ground, one of his hands going to brush a piece of hair from the dollish face.

“Help…” the elegant fingers found their way to the collar of his coat, clutching it tightly.

“Shhhh, my love. One moment and you’ll be fine.” The gentle voice of Ricard cooed, his hand going to cup her cheek softly as a slight curve of his lips expressed a smile. The return smile would have been heart warming, had the vampire not been a cold-blooded bastard. It was full of the trust and warmth a woman in love held for her special one, the one she saved herself for. Slowly her life slipped away, as Ricard watched and when those eyes finally widened with the realization of the truth, they then welled with tears of grief. The betrayal was great to her, to Josline, but it was nothing to a creature that dwelled in darkness and took pleasure in grief. This was but a moment for him, which he would live pass and on. When that hand fell away from his collar, he stood stretching his now blood heated body slightly and strode off into the trees. There wasn’t any way he could have created another vampire, they would grow rebellious and soon hate him. It was much more enjoyable to have mortal companions, and being such a supernatural creature was what made him unique.

With a slight smile on the eloquent features he moved over the leaves of fall without a sound, save for the slight laughter that was soon drowned out as the rain picked up, turning into a furious downpour.
