This really is a hugely fun episode! Though as I was watching it and having a *ball* I wasn't sure *why* it's so much more fun than "Inside Out", because it has several of the same besetting sins--KITT and Michael are apart a lot, Michael tells KITT to shut up a lot, etc. But somehow it all works in this episode and it works delightfully! :D
I did like Michael picking up that KITT's jealous about his love life, but I didn't like the way he handled it--it's like, hmmm...I mean if I had a male friend who was a really close friend and maybe I wanted more between us but he had an active social life ::koff:: that didn't include me in any non-platonic way. I'd be really *cheezed* if I felt like he knew how I felt and was essentially rubbing my face in it. Now maybe Michael's not getting that KITT's jealous--he's picking up that he disapproves (in TDR he says that KITT sounds like his mother) but not figured out *why*. Oh. I can actually totally see that. ::pets KITT:: They need to sort that out. ::nods firmly::
And I love that scene with Bonnie, but why doesn't she pick him up on his claim that Michael ditching him doesn't bother him?
Well...going with your idea that Bonnie's kind of jealous of Michael and how attached KITT is to him, maybe she just really *wants* to believe KITT when he says it doesn't bother him. She wants him not to be so attached to Michael that he does take it personally.
The coiffeured do's throughout season three and four are a good commercial for hairspray, but don't suit her.
At least she's not as teased as April with her Big Hair.
Is it wrong to find the Hoff attractive - at any stage of his career?

Michael's approval is what Kitt is aiming for in everything he does. Kitt is learning from him, and also starting to use his own initiative, so of course he wants Michael to notice his achievements.
EEe!! I love this! Because YES. Totally yes!! (And, KITT only let those other people drive him because Michael wanted him to which is a separate, and also yummy, bit of squee about this situation.)
I just adore that KITT seeks Michael's approval and that Michael gives it to him--because it would not be a happy thing if Michael *didn't* give it to him.
