Oh my! *steams up windows* That was very hot. And emotionally satisfying. Love Chris noticing that Vin's not so good with a pistol and taking it upon himself to make sure he's not caught unprepared. I also love how the whole pistol bit is foreplay, and Vin's line at the end. *g*

Wow. The tension building is excellent. Two things I REALLY loved: Vin grabbing his gunbelt but not his clothes - HA! Of course! and Chris not taking Vin in the dirt like an animal. God, that is SUCH a good Chris. Okay, three things - the way Chris grabbed Vin's arm and how Vin responded to it.
(But, okay, so how is it that I didn't know you were into Mag7? I have you filed in what passes for my brain under due South. Of course the fact that I like both should be a *hint* maybe that other folks do too. :D Does this mean you write them?? If so, where, please, are your stories??

Hot, hot, hot, Sara, from the moment Chris walked away from Vin and Vin could only stare (heh, me too by the way, I was staring just as much), and the way Chris holds Vin to correct his aim, to the totally hot sex scenes.
As usual you made it all so real with the rich details you provide (how DO you know so much about shooting and the difference between shooting a gun and shooting a rifle or mare's leg?! I'm always deeply happy when details like that make an OW story so truly OW) - and with all the observations about their characters, as always right on the mark.

I had a friend a few years back who was a total gun-nut and I went to the shooting range with him. So I've fired a shotgun (loud and kicks hard), a rifle, a sniper rifle (so much fun), a replica Sharps .50 buffalo hunting rifle (so loud it scared the shit out of me and I almost dropped it), a 9mm pistol and a bunch of other guns. The sniper rifle was my favorite. :D
