Vin stifled a laugh that would have been almost as damning as the shouts he'd wanted to make a moment ago. "Reckon you are, cowboy."
but it also has that taint of sadness that carries from the old west into modern times If Chris were to entertain a woman--that thought sat better in his mind--they could make all the noise they liked. Shouting and moaning. Thumping the bed against the wall. There'd be no care for what folks in the hall or the next room might think. The worst that would come of it would be some teasing from Buck the next morning. Vin could picture Buck standing there in the saloon, hat pushed back on his head, big grin splitting his face. Could almost hear the laughter and Buck's voice, "Chris, you old dog, you damn near brought ( ... )

I'd like to think that Buck would be a bit more forgiving tho...after all, he's a man who likes his pleasure. I think he might understand the comforts of a man upon occasion when the company of women isn't availble or isn't what a man needs at that time.I think you're probably right--though he might not understand it being more than just an on occasion thing, if that makes sense. But in this story, Vin is very cautious about anyone knowing...more cautious than Chris, though that doesn't really come out in the story. There might be a sequel (where they go out to the desert :D) that goes into that some. I'm not sure ( ... )

I'm jealous of you over there in Sedona. That's such a gorgeous part of the country!
I look at the red mountains and think of the 7 riding their horses. I'm so corny it's pathetic!
Oh, well, if you're corny, I am too...my hubby said I could plan our vacation this summer and *high* on my list of options right now is southern Arizona. Red mountains and desert grassland and...yeah...
Thanks so much for commenting!

(I can't resist much of anything about these boys...graphics, writing, reading books on guns in the old west, whatever...)

And last night I decided to rewatch all my favorite Chris/Vin moments from the pilot through the next ep, even though I just re-watched that one. Unfortunately, Pip decided to go to bed early (where I was already under the covers watching my show *g*), so instead of jumping around I stayed on the Pilot, which wasn't really a hardship. *g*
I think it's so much more fun to have someone to squee with! Had it been left up to me I might not have even gotten around to watching these the second time to take down quotes and stuff, if you hadn't rec'd that vid which re-energized my squee. *g*

It sounds like you had fun watching!! I watched a couple of my favorite Chris/Vin moments to re-set my brain between watching due South and Mag7 this afternoon. Mmmmm! So nice!

Oh, *gosh* yes!! I would have been transiently obsessed by that songvid (jst like I was with one for Invisible Man) and then eventually gotten over it and gone on my merry way. I'm *so* glad you're here squeeing with me, I'm just having a ball!

Pain he could hide inside until it was so deep folks just thought it were a natural part of him.
Maybe Chris needed to hold onto all the happiness he could find to fill up the painful, empty places inside
And the way they say it all about Chris and Vin. Thank you for sharing!
