OH man...I love this story so much!! It's just incredibly brilliant :) I'm just very deeply impressed with the pacing of the thing, and the way you used the visions and the blurred lines of reality through the whole story...it was amazing and so well done that I could see and hear and smell everything. Nice, nice work!

That was just so terrifying and yet so right, too. Because there's always a price and we didn't see them pay it, not really, for what they got when Jim saved Blair.

Wonderfully imagined and so compelling; this one's going to stick in my mind for a long time.

Thanks so much for your comments.

I tend to get too close to my own writing, or too distant, so I wasn't actually sure if it would be scary to anyone else. I guess I'm glad to know it is. :)

This was mesmerising. The language and imagery, the surreal quality grabbed me from the beginning and never let go. It showed the best of them: Jim's determination to never let go and Blair's deceptive strength. Really excellent work.

Oh, thanks so much! I'm so glad you liked it and so glad you commented.

And I'm glad Blair's strength came through--He was so sick and worn through the whole thing he didn't have a lot of strength to give. I was afraid that he was going to come off as a big wimp.

Oh wow - just... wow.

I love it; it's wonderful, intense and scary and such beautiful imagery...

I'm going to have to sit up late tonight so I can read it all over again. :~D

Oh my goodness, this is powerful stuff. Totally engrossing, and with such a sense of constant threat. I am still reeling. Wow, thank you for an amazing piece of work :-)
