New show, new fandom, first episode of a whole new series!

Well, okay, new in a very broad sense of term. :)

I remember clearly watching Starsky & Hutch with my mother when I was little kid. I was seven when the show started airing. At age seven my favorite part of the show was them putting the flashing light on top of the car when they were in ( Read more... )

Ooh, this is great!

I was 11 when S&H first aired, and remember watching it with my mom and brother every week. I certainly didn't have my "slash-glasses" on at that age, but like some of the other commenters here mentioned, I loved male "buddy" relationships on TV, and S&H was the ultimate for that! There were plenty of others, though. I even got happy feelings when something bad would happen on Gilligan's Island and the Skipper would stop being all gruff and scoldy, and ask Gilligan "Are you okay, little buddy?" Hmm. . . Is there any Gilligan's Island slash?

The first show I watched where the slash "light bulb" finally came on was Hardcastle & McCormack. They'd be all tough and snarky with each other most of the time, but then when one got hurt or was in danger, the emotional bond and the loyalty took center stage (center screen?). And McCormack in the kitchen with an apron on! Hee! I'm thinking "Guys, just admit you're married, say I love you, and get it over with!"

Okay, but back on topic, I loved S&H, and now after reading this I'm definitely going to put renting those DVDs near the top of my to-do list!

I definitely have *always* loved male buddy relationships and hated girlfriends or others that might come between them. I just didn't realize I could take the next step and actually have them in *love* with each other until embarrasisngly old (about 35).

I wouldn't be at all surprised if there was Gilligan's Island slash. :)

More people watching S&H. Yay!!!

Good Lord! The mind boggles.

Though I've read some Hogan's Heroes slash--dark, gritty rape-recovery story too--which just boggled my mind.

Links please??
