blubber and bob dylan

May 02, 2007 22:27

the past couple of days have been marked by highs and lows.
+ i don't have to take any science in college!  you have no idea how good this is.  actually, maybe you do.
+ if i do well on the calc exam, no math for me, either!  i'll have to make sure i find science/math people somewhere in my social life, though, because otherwise i don't know when i'd meet them.  and strangely enough, i seem to get along better with those "types".  honestly, if i met a person exactly like myself in terms of interests and personality, i'd get annoyed with him/her within a few months.
     - i need to lose some winter blubber, because i really don't feel like spending money on new clothes that fit me better.  it's just kinda depressing.  anyone want to go for a walk sometime?
-/+ literary magazine, which had been going so well, hit a roadblock. but blair is my hero because she fixed all the images!  if you see her in the halls, you should hug her.
+ lauren and nick are cool, too, because they hang out with us the art lab and keep us company and show us (and kirchenko) weird youtube videos.
+ we have a limo!  thank you, alison!
     - i still need to buy my dress.  silly store doesn't pick up the phone and instead trails me through its phone bureaucracy/web/nuisance where i can't talk to anyone.  hmph.
+ our bicycle friend waved to us on woodlawn the other day!  he was going down the hill towards mills pond elem. and he waved so big.
-/+ the "discussion" of a good roast date for SO last night got pretty heated and uncomfortable, which i hate (i think everyone does).  i know everyone thinks they're doing what's best for the club, and i'm sure it'll turn out fine, but still.  hopefully june 11 will work out?
+ the trees are green, which means that spring is finally really here!  the ants are in the kitchen, which means that summer is coming soon!  and a yellow finch was at the birdfeeder, which is just plain cool!    when i grow up and retire, i'm going to have a big flower and vegetable garden.
+++++++++++ I'M SEEING BOB DYLAN ON JUNE 29 AT JONES BEACH AS A GRADUATION PRESENT!!!!!  there will be twenty rows of people separating bob and me...

spring, uncomfortableness, literary magazine, bicycle dude, self-consciousness, bob dylan
