Firey Dream
On the morning of the 10th I had a very vivid dream:
I am driving to meet Terra at a Onelinedrawing concert and I was late. When I finally arrive I get out of my car and start walking up this road. Although the location was not specific in my dream the landscape reminds me very much of the windy road going up Mt. Diablo. So I continue walking up this road and reach a bend where there are a lot of people standing and apparantly this is where the concert will take place. There is no stage or musical equipment, just a lot of people standing in a crowd at this bend in the road. I start looking for Terra in the crowd and notice that Jonah is walking around talking to some fans who he knows by name. He does not know my name but I am not offended, and soon I notice Terra. We talk for a bit and the we see an orange glow coming from up the road. I look up at the hillside and see by far the most vivid imagery I have ever seen in a dream. The hill is lit up by hundreds of small (1-2 inch diameter) fires. Me and Terra stare at this in amazement and all of a sudden a meteorite strikes the hillside not 200 feet from where we are standing. The hill bursts into flames and at this point the crowd begins to leave. Me and Terra walk to a ranger station and I go in and tell the ranger that the hill is on fire. He says something to the effect of: "What do want me to do? I didn't cause it" As I walk out the door I have to squeeze through a tight door way past some girl. I get out and Terra is talking to a random woman and tells me that we can leave without her roommate Ryan. I turn around and yell to Ryan to come with us and then the dream ends.
I could not stop thinking about it. The images of the many fires on the hillside and the meteorite were incredibly awe inspiring. It wasn't scary in the dream, I was just fascinated by it. The panic of the crowd didn't seem to phase me at all. It was just so damned beautiful.
