A real update? No, it couldn't be.
So I realized it's been quite a while since I've said much of substance on here, so I thought I'd make a fairly real update, while I'm in the mood.
Work is...still there. Sometimes it's almost busy, and at other times (and more often) it's painfully and frighteningly slow, and I sometimes spend three hour blocks of time literally removing staples from things. There are definite periods where I go to work every day afraid that it could be my last, but those periods usually pass, and once I make it passed the first few days of the month, I feel a little more secure for a while. I'm not sure how the work flow will go in the next few months, but for now it is what it is.
My big brother is getting married in a little over 3 months, which is both incredibly happy and exciting and also at times still difficult to wrap my brain around, because OMG my big brother is GETTING MARRIED. At any rate, these months have been filled with dresses, and buying dresses, and modeling dressing, and shoes, and purple, and 'help me cut and paste save-the-dates', and 'distilled water versus tap water for the center pieces?', and wedding, and wedding, and wedding. And did I mention there's going to be a wedding? Phew.
Other than that, I spend a lot of time doing nothing much of great importance. I miss people. I watch too much television. And sometimes I make things. Some of you know, but I did a painting recently for my company's Christmas cards that turned out pretty well. I've been meaning to upload some pictures on here, because a few of you have been asking about it. Hopefully I'll get around to that soon.
Tomorrow I have to go for a haircut, because my appointment last week was canceled. Then I have to drive over to Birmingham to have my violin repaired, because yesterday, upon trying to change the strings, it was discovered that my fine tuners were installed incorrectly, too tightly, and possibly in reverse order, so my new strings don't fit. Additionally, the store where I purchased my violin a little over six months ago, that is two minutes from work and has been there my entire life, went out of business recently. So there's that. Also this weekend, I'm now told, I will be assembling wedding invitations. And, oh crap, I was going to do my taxes, too. Hm. So much for not having anything to do this weekend. Ah well.
