a series of unfortunate...

Okay, my car doors being frozen was apparently the GOOD part of my day *sigh*.

I got to work after a 1.5 hour commute over the snow covered highway, the traffic being worse because it took so long to get my doors unfrozen and my car scraped off and then another 20 minutes to get the car warm enough for the door to shut again (I actually drove a mile holding the door closed with the seatbelt.)

I get to work and there's a HUGE ice pond in the middle of the garage. I saw it yesterday, as there is bad drainage, so I decided to walk around it. I thought I was, but apparently, there was some black ice I thought was water on the far edge. Next thing I knew, I was flat on my bad and had cracked my head HARD on the concrete, dazing myself. I couldn't move for a bit. I told them at work, as my head was aching and I was planning on going back home. I only went in because I thought at first I was bleeding (it was wet from the ice - ewwww!) and my boss went nuts. She'd apparently known someone who had a head injury. She contacted the workers comp dept who flew into action and got her to drive me to the ER to be checked out. Three embarrassing hours later, we were finally done. Of all days not to wear a fluffy hat.

*sighhhhhhh* my head hurts. *sniffle*
