So, this fall I'll turn 30 years old. That's weird because for the most part I still feel 16, granted 16 with a mortgage and huge assed debt but still 16.
So Ross suggested that we check out going to La Tomatina for my birthday. I have begged him to go for years. It's the last Wednesday in August and it would be the one thing I really want to do before I'm 30. Which started me thinking, What else is there that you should do before you turn 30? I have 9 months to get everything in. A quick online search gave me these 10 to start with:
1. Drive a wickedly cool car, even if you have to rent it.
Done, It was a brand new Cadillac and man was it nice. It's not a farari or anything like that but I loved that car. We rented it for three days for Ross's uncle's funeral.
2. Date against type. LOL Well, I've dated the gambit of men and have some interesting stories that I'll charish later.
3. See the world. Done that, Getting stranded in England with no money, id other than your passport and no where to do really does teach you a thing or two about yourself.
4. Live in a cool place. I've lived in tons of cities and all manner of homes. Some great, some lame but I think I can check this one off.
5. If you're going to drink a lot, do it when you're young. LMAO Definitely a good place to start and I think I've covered it. It's not as pretty when the hangovers last for more than a day.
6. Take risks with your job. I just finished this one, I quit Pemco and started working for the Cash Store in a position I sought.
7. Do something physically adventurous. And do it OUTSIDE! This one, I always thought would be sky diving. BUT since that's not likely I'll have to try to go to La Tomatina and hopefully that'll cover this one.
8. Take your parents to dinner. Done
9. Do volunteer work. Done often since I was little.
10. Use this decade to go to extremes. I think I have but there's still some things that I think I can do.
Any other good suggestions you have for someone that'll be 30 by the end of the year?
