Christmas 2006

Should be a nice quiet one.

Ross and I realized it's the first year that we'll be in our own place celebrating the holidays. The last 2 years we've spent at either my mom's or his parents place. I'm kinda looking forward to Christmas morning, just the 2 of us, our Christmas tree all lit and cinnamon rolls for breakfast.

We dropped off some Christmas presents tonight. About a month ago I did up some scented bath salts (Mint Lavender) and some pedicure sets. Tonight we bundled them up, put name tags on them and delivered a few. We're not giving out a lot because of our money situation this year. But the little containers for the bath salts are adorable.

Tomorrow I have a second interview with the company that Dawn works with and I'm hoping they wont remember that I interviewed with them like 3 months ago. We'll see. It's a good job and nice hours. So I'm hoping that I'll calm down enough to sleep tonight and not be a blubbering Doofus tomorrow

I've been listening to everyone's busy lists of things to do and what they've done and it's making me feel oddly calm. Like hearing their chaos gives me a wave of zen peace. Lol. Or maybe it's because I've completely forgone most of my stressful planning in favor of the affordable luxury of not giving too many gifts. I did about 15 bath salts and 3 pedicure sets. I am really proud of the pedicure sets. They have, slippers (foam ones), a big bottle of nice foot lotion, 3 pouches of foot bath, 2 scrubbies for your feet, and something else that I can't remember. Lol.

I've got Mom coming over Monday for Christmas dinner and tomorrow night we're supposed to be at a friend's place for a party. Then Saturday to drop off gifts to friends in Vernon.

If I don't post again before Christmas, Happy Holidays. And for those of the persuasion, Happy Solstice.

christmas presents, 2nd interview, calm
