Home Depot had impatients on sale for $0.99 each, so I bought 10. They make the front of the house look much less bare.
I'm sad to report that my efforts at a garden have mainly failed. My basil is all dying (damn squirrels keep digging them up to plant acorns) and the morning glories killed all but 2 of my bean plants. Although I do have two lovely baby beans growing and that makes me very happy. Mr. Patio Tomato is staked, which is good for him, but hasn't put out any flowers yet.
I need to get in the habit of watering every day if this heat continues.
