LOL That sounds like my arguments in Xena fandom where, despite having canon relationships with men too, it was verboten to ever believe they were more than 'just' lesbians. Ditto Willow on Buffy. I guess as a bisexual, I am just evil and project my deviance on these characters. ;) I do think Remus could be with both of them without betraying the other -- Tonks and Sirius have quite a lot in common (which is why I think they're hot TOGETHER) so why not?

I can laugh at anything as long as it's not cruel. Okay, sometimes cruel is good too (but not at someone's specific expense unless they're pompous assholes). To me picking on multicoloured werewolf cubs isn't singling out ONE person, yanno? Just a really dumb fan concept -- like Snape being a half-vampire or Dumbledore being Ron from the future...

That's why I hate HBP Tonks too. I just dont know where my kickass smart, funny, brave girl from OotP went in the span of 2 story weeks (she's FINE at the end of OotP and then suddenly she's mopier and more pathetic than Cho Chang!).

I should probably go out and buy a hammer and nails just so I can aid and abet anyone who wants to have a go. ;)

Haha, yes, I think I tend to project a little of my own bisexuality on characters. But apparently that crosses the great Het/Slash divide or something. :D

I have issues with Veela!Draco or Vamp!Snape, for sure. As for the Ron is Dumbledore theory... I actually know one of the creators of that theory IRL (though we all enjoy her cheerful enthusiasm - and she doesn't have any problem with people who disagree with their theory. We all tease her at HPLA meetups). ;D Hee.

And yeah, my issue with Remus/Tonks isn't that it happened, it's just how it got written. Actually, I wrote a fic to try to fill in the gaps: Fractured (it's less than 2000 words, so it's a quick read). *laughs* Look at me, pimping myself out.

If you get the hammer and nails, I'll pick up the wood and the Roman soldiers.

I'm the same way (which is why my Tonks and Bill are decidedly bi) but I think it makes for more interesting writing/rping anyway. It's odd that bisexualty IS the big taboo though - which boggles me. (Then again, so do lesbians who only read boyslash and not femmeslash so what do I know?)

I have issue with Veela!Draco too. Forgot about him. *shudders* The Dumbledore as Ron one is actually less heinous than some of the others imho.

Ive maintained from the beginning that if R/T was done well in canon, I'd have no problem with it. Hell, I was all for Harry/Ginny and I didn't like the way that came about either but R/T just...gah. I'm also not big on Bill/Fleur although I just resigned myself to it a long time ago. Even the big hospital scene didn't make me suddenly like her, unfortunately. Personally, I'm hoping for a big Boda de Sangre with Bill ripping her throat out in a frenzied attack of wolfishness. ;) But I am evil...

Oooh! I'm so there! :)

You know what's funny? I lean strongly towards the queer end of the spectrum and yet I generally tend to read het and femslash. I only read slash if it's by authors I know, love, and trust. *grins*

But yeah, there's a huge biphobia in real life, and I think it bleeds over into the fandom. But the best thing to do is to keep speaking out and making realistically bi characters, right? :D

We can keep hoping. I dislike Fleur primarily because she is everything I hate about stereotypes that people believe about the French. As a francophile, well, I'm sure you can understand my apoplexy.

I'm somewhere in the middle of the spectrum (I'd say 60/40 favouring het) but I like everything as long as I buy the ship. I don't gravitate to anything just because of the sexual orientation. I think that's why Torchwood made me a bit cranky -- it was trying too hard to be edgy and throwing in gay relationships that I wouldn't have bought if they were straight either. And watching boys kiss boys is not the end all and be all with me...*sigh*

There's a huge biphobia -- I can't tell you how often I've been called a fence sitter or whatever by people on both sides. Me, I just am open to relatonships with people I'm attracted to regardless of their gender or their colour or whatever. I'm an equal opportunity letch. ;)

I can appreciate the apoplexy. I've known some really lovely French people. I'm more turned off by stereotypical princesses and to me, she's just another one. The fact that she's embraced as Veela Princess Barbie by a lot of young women who seem to think her actions/behaviour is acceptable is beyond me. I know I'm too sensitive but anyone who cant get along with a guy (or girl's) family and doesn't even try is bad news, no matter how pretty they are. Of course, I want to beat Bill with a stick for being such a pathetic pussywhipped asshole in HBP too.

I'm 85-15, myself, tending strongly towards the ladies. But I'm currently seeing a bloke. I'm all about the equal opportunity. *laughs*

Veela Princess Barbie - YES. That's it exactly. Oh gods.

Perhaps we should just call HBP The Book of Out of Character Behaviour. *grins*

Equal opportunity is good! Of course, even with my supposedly open field, I've been completely sans partner for the past 7 years. *sigh* No girls, no boys, no small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri. Bah.

Hee -- I love Barbie as a rule but that's what Fleur reminds me of - one of the scary Princess dolls in yards of pink tulle with no personality (other than annoying...)

WOOT! I'm all for that one.
