it's now officially Gabe's birthday. for those of you who haven't heard, he's sort of like my new ian. not that ian can ever be replaced, but he's far away, and i need a perfect foil, like ian was. gabe fills this void. he's religious like ian, but also funny as hell. he's in a band, which everyone in seattle is, save me, and he has curly hair like i do. he's also half mexican. the point being that it's funny that i thought of him as my replacement ian when i first started hanging out with him, because he texted me last night to invite me to his birthday dinner, since his parents are in town, and he is totally going to bucca di beppo. those of you who remember, will understand why that's funny.
also, i'll have to set aside my 4th reading of A Game of Thrones as a book i put on hold back in february finally came into the library. it's Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman. so once In Cold Blood is done, it'll be on to that.
on an unrelated note, sean that i used to work with at applebee's called me tonight, and he and christie were having a baby(i think only one person who reads this will know what i'm talking about). the baby was due on april 11th, but tragically, they lost it on the 10th. the cord became wrapped around its neck. i feel bad, because sean is one of the coolest people ever.
now i hate ending on a sad note, so...
"A lady was driving down the street in a sweat because she had an important meeting and couldn't find a parking place.
Looking up toward heaven, she said, "Lord, take pity on me. If you find me a parking place, I will go to Mass every Sunday for the rest of my life and give up sex and tequila."
Miraculously, a parking place appeared.
She looked up again and said, "Never mind. I found one."
