+ MORGANA MORGANA MORGANA MORGANA. i just. oh man. sometimes i still find it utterly mind-boggling how beautiful katie mcgrath is, because, just, asd;aljfls. also, so awesome. i loved loved loved morgana in this episode, all kickass and stubborn and ahhhhhhhh MORGANA WHY SO AWESOME.

+ i admit i wasn't too sure about morgana's eyes glowing yellow, like merlin's. it's just ... i mean, merlin was supposed to be all ~special~ and we've never seen anyone else's eyes do that before (i think?) but idk, yeah. i always thought she was just a seer, but it does make sense for her to have more magic than that, and i like what they did with it, the idea of it, so yay! and i love that she chose to stay with the druids, even when she knew about the people who were going to die if she didn't return. it's harsh, and it's horrible, and it's absolutely awesome.
+ "you're my friend, merlin, i wouldn't make this up." ahhhhhh WHY SHOW WHY. i don't ship morganamerlin, i swear, but i ... could totally see it happening. either way, i love their adorable little friendship!
+ also i really loved gwen comforting morgana. such bffs. ♥ and morgana telling her to take away the candle. idk, that just really impressed me. mainly because the show isn't always so good with things like these.
+ gaiusssssssss. i love him, i do, but he really should know merlin (and morgana!) better by now. either way, i just loved the little moments between gaius and merlin we've been getting this season, it's just SO ADORABLE. merlin's i'd be lost without you, gaius, the hug there in the end, eee, and how gaius was angry but wasn't anymore when merlin walked in all safe and unharmed. SO PRECIOUS. ♥

+ also the fear of magic really came across in this. i really felt this episode dealt with it properly, how they all fear so much as mentioning magic, let alone admitting to being familiar with it. but it's still hilarious when gaius and merlin find it perfectly acceptable to shout magic while their arguing. COME UP WITH, IDK, A CODENAME OR SOMETHING FFS. because no, of course no one could be passing by and accidentally hear all the OMFG MERLIN YOU MUST BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR MAGIC stuff.

+ DRUIDS! i really love them. it's funny, though, because the other druids seem like lovely people, very peaceful, and ... then there's mordred. who is adorable. and who'll eventually kill arthur, if they keep with the legend. and who's creepy. and is, like, twelve years old. and did i say creepy?

+ i wonder why arthur didn't object to killing the druids. on the other hand, he made some fantastic angst faces right before the attack, so there's that.
