The Mind ... She Goes to Strange Places
So, there have been many fics written about those Highlander immortals losing body parts and will they grow back and if so how long will it take ... yadda yadda.
But...
I don't recall ever seeing one where Methos lost his most respectfully-sized and character-building nose.
Yes, yes, those fictionized immortals have lost arms, legs, eyes, fingers, um, um, penises...penii??? heh

Okay, lost my train of thought there for a moment.
Now, I know we all love/adore Methos/PW's nose. It's practically a life form of its own, much like John Sheppard/JF's hair. Does no one have the guts to slice Methos' nose off? Or is he just too wise to stick it in places he knows better than to stick it?
I know, I know, kind of gruesome, but at the same time I can't get over Methos spinning this tale of how he once lost his nose for Duncan and Joe and, yikes, even Richie. Or losing it present day and having to explain this to Duncan and Joe and Amanda offering to steal Michael Jackson's fake nose for Methos' use for a bit.
And I'm absolutely convinced losing his nose will throw Methos' balance off, not to mention his ability to properly snog around said nose.
What can I say? I'm watching some show on the History channel about the Roswell UFO and suddenly Methos' nose is missing.
