An open invitation to all Sapphire and Steel fans toa new S&S comm.
I have been asked to clarify my thoughts for why we would need a new community for S&S
The reason for a new com doesn't mean that there is anything wrong with this site, but as a poster, you are restricted to what you can post as the original owner set it up with a moderated queue for any posts that has links, video or pictures. Those posts go into a queue so that she could check to make sure they didn't violate the community rules or weren't spam. This worked fine until the owner/mod disappeared from LJ. She hasn't posted anything since 2009 and the queue is chock full of stuff. In fact, I have been told that I cannot add anything more to the queue (I was trying to post a photo I found as I had exceeded my allotment). I made many attempts to contact the owner, but to no avail. Even LJ couldn't help to empty out the queue or turn that function off.
At that point, it occurred to me that it might be nice to start a new comm with three maintainers and no queues to avoid this happening in the future. This is most certainly not a diss on this community, but something that I hope will breathe new life (and let us post pictures or even have a group watch) into it as we continue to celebrate the show and its message.
