“I wish to go to the sea.” He told SungMin.

SungMin found himself looking out at the sea feeling the cool air breathe against his face turning his cheeks into a pink color. SungMin watched the younger one run from the shore line and back.

The birthday thing confuses me to no end. It says 2/10 on Wiki, then I see a birthday message today on a community.

But then again, I can't trust Wiki anymore after someone used to put, "Ryeowook is currently dating Koharu Kusumi," ton there. >_>

I know. I thought that it was February 10 also. But I saw on a site that said happy birthday to both EunHyuk and SiWon in the month of April. So I was like 'Huh? If February 10th isn't his birthday so when is his actual birthday??'
You shouldn't trust me either about this. Someone had said that his parents registered him late so I'm not sure.
You really can't trust wikipedia. But wikipedia is where I get most of my information since I can't really read any Korean or know them in person. Also because I live in the US.

siwon's real birthday is april 7th 1986. but since siwon was one of the first suju member to become popular, sm made up his birthday for february 10th 1987 because it would make him "younger" since idol stars are young.
that's why donghae and eunhyuk call siwon "friend (in korean)" instead of "dongsaeng (younger sibling)" because he's born around the same time of the year as them (lol i'm korean and i still don't understand the whole birthday system in korea lol)

Then what about SungMin? Wouldn't that mean SiWon doesn't call SungMin hyung since they are actually born of the same year?

hmmm... i dunno if this is 100% right but its on this track but...
no. siwon would still have to call sungmin hyung. eunhyuk and donghae call sungmin hyung too.

i think its because in korea the school system is different than north america's school system. in north america we start a new school year in september while in korea they start i believe in march. so since sungmin was born in january and siwon, eunhyuk and donghae were born after march... sungmin would be put in a class ahead of eunhyuk, siwon and donghae. and in korea your "friends" are those who are in the same grade as you. and since sungmin was ahead he would be called hyung. thats y shindong and sungmin are "friends" even though shindong was born in 1985. lol.

i'm 98% sure that is correct. i remember my mom explaining it to me and one of my friends cuz he was born in february and i was born in november of the same year but he said if we were in korea i would have to call him "oppa" cuz he's one grade ahead of me and yeah lol.

Ah, thank you so much for the explanation. :] The only part of the Korean birthday system that I've been able to understand is the whole "babies are one year old when they're born" thing. ^^;
