Okay, I've been super busy with work and school and have not been online, but after everyone completely going crazy and pretty much saying I'm an idiot or not educated, I feel like I need to say something. So, here goes

Whilst I agree you have a right to your opinion, no matter how close or open or feeble or strong minded it is, I was more than a litle confused when I realised you were female. I'm sure that if you were faced with rape, abuse, or an endtopic pregnancy you would seriously not sit back and let it happen. You can say all you like but human nature is not like that. However, I'm sure our favourite God can come along and test you to that end. Didn't They do that in one of the stories? Ask one of his followers (possibly Abraham) to kill his own son? Yeah, you can blindly follow what you're told to do. But you can also discover things and think about them for yourself, and have a far more personal relationship with the Big Preferably Asexual To Avoid Sexism Guy In The Sky.

Also, we *know* that people see God as different things and read Them/Him/Her/It in different ways, and that means that if we say "we rule our country according to God" then we allow corrupt people claiming to be a messenger from said God to use this to their own power. It also means that we spend too much time saying "Clearly we should not suffer a THIEF to live, as it says in the original Bible before James I came along with his Witchhunting Hat and changed it?" Heh, screw that, it would mean that you would have to talk about what God apparently says in every single holy book ever. Religion and government are like oil and water; they just don't mix without a struggle.
