[fla]mingos/galosh[e]s
Jack and I want to go to the zoo tomorrow. I haven't yet seen the mingos. I have the day off, but it is supposed to rain. My question is this: do mingos like the rain? Jack asserts that they won't be outside in the rain. I'm not so sure. They are, after all, aquatic birds! Maybe they'll like the rain. Also I would think that hippos like the rain (better for wallowing!) and they're one of my faves.
The idea of the zoo in the rain is oddly compelling. I own a pair of galoshes, and a rain jacket! I could even probably dig up an umbrella. Rain is romantic, according to the movies and some of the exhibits are indoors.
Of course, in the morning I probably won't feel the same way. Rain makes for great snuggle time, at any rate.
