I just remembered that its National Novel Writing Month, as widely supported by the website nanowrimo.com. Last year I signed up for it but never went through with putting the 50,000 words down; I think I managed to put down 12,000. This being with a horrible work ethic of course. Not this week, but some time very soon, most likely after exams I'm going to sit down and write like I've never written before. Last entry I made it a goal for 1,000 words a day, well, I hate to say it but I really don't have time for that right now with work and school consuming 85% of my life; and the remaining 15% being divided into social, journaling, sleeping, etc.
Starting December, I'm going to make it one of my top 3 goals to stop dicking around and actually finish something that I keep on talking about.
I had to work a day shift so nothing really eventful took place until this evening when I called Erika and she invited me over. Its not too common that we see each other anymore. She's one of the people that I took a break from after needing to escape the drama and am now coming back to see how things are going. As I walked in her mother was cooking dinner and asked me to join them. She served a vegetarian soup, I can't remember the name but it was quite delicious. I don't think that I'll have it too often though but its something nice to have for the occasion.
After the candle lit meal, we gathered in the living room to watch House of D, one of the movies that I brought over. Its somehow became a tradition that everytime I come over we all sit down to watch a film. So far, they've enjoyed everything that I've suggested so with that I think I may have their approval.
Afterward, they did their own thing while Erika and I stood in the kitchen flirting some like we used to and talking about the usual; movies, music, literature, Kristal, etc. I missed having these little conversations with her combined with the soft massaging and gentle foreplay. She scratched her nails up my back and around my neck playfully leaving these deep red marks and she seemed to have a problem with everytime I mentioned Mandy. Wonder if this means anything...
We're really good friends and she knows she's really important to me. I wouldn't be so brash as to call us "friends-with-benefits"... we're more of friends that show affection.
