~ Loving the World ~ Eurovision continued: Thoughts
Okayz, after several hours, I've finally seen ALL entries on that contest.
Why should I go bias on familiar countries or only those who are in the finals?
There's got to be a hidden gem among them.
When I was watching the videos, I can't help from laughing at some of the comments xD There were a lot of senseless bashing o_O Some curse and insult the artist/band/song just because it simply wasn't their type. There was even one complaining that people only vote for their neighboring countries! xD There were even some claimings that the song came from another country! The saddest bashing I've seen was that they're bringing up old controversial issues o_O
I don't get what's with the hate . . . well, that's people's preferences I guess . . . but to go THAT far? . . . oh humankind
Honestly, ALL entries are lame + awesome + disturbing + wonderful + awful + fun + hilarious + spectacular . . . in a way. In other words, they all suck and shine in their own way, but none of them, for me, had been so damn unbearable where my ears or eyes would start bleeding!
But this is coming from a fan of almost musical genre who also appreciates songs in different languages xD Ehehe
Speaking of different languages, I wish all of them had sang in their mother tongue. They could just add subtitles for the international audience. Or mix their language with english. Be proud of your languages! They're so beautiful!
Anywayz, why I was browsing for videos at youtube, I noticed that the Azerbaijan entry got the most views O_O Beats the one in 1st and 2nd place. I wonder what exactly made it more loved by the people but didn't make it to the top o_O
About all those songs, MANY of them have connection to romance. Most of them try to look sexy (through their dances) too. Many also go rock or rebel mode. Others try to go funky and motivate partying and stuff. While those who don't wanna do that go elegant mode and show off their very high voices.
Well, I'm not saying they're bad. Many of the ones that are like that are good and cool. But it's a little tiring to appreciate something that most artists have already done . . . so I guess that's why I've been paying more attention to weird and less popular ones. Haha!
Alright, before I mention favorites, here are ones that caught my attention for odd reasons:
[ Belarus ] not bashing the singer but I see him as the trying-to-look-hott-but-actually-disgustingly-pathetic type >_> Oh come on, that hair, that all white get-up, the chest showing, and to me he's not even that cute >_>;;;;
[ FYR Macedonia ] What's with the similar ahirstyle of ALL FOUR band members? I can get used to the style, but ALL FOUR of them? o_O Eeeehhh?! I don't find it that cool either. (or is it a fad/trend in that country?) Too bad, I think I spotted one of them who would seem cuter in a different hairstyle ^^;
[ Netherlands ] it's so SHINY!!!!!! xD Wahahahahhaha!!!!
[ Sweden ] For some reason that singer's eyes scare me xD Wahahahahha!!!!!
[ Latvia ] It actually has subtitles! Haha! 'twas okay
[ Bulgaria ] Most disturbingly creepy to me xD Cool xD
[ Cyprus ] the MV gives me fairytale vibes . .. how cute ^_^
[ Germany ] I just can't stop laughing xD Wahahahaha!!!!
And oh, these are some that I think deserve more attention:
[ Finland ] MV is so unique. The song makes you dance but the video isn't exactly that . . .hyper xD But they're singing the song alright xD Wahahaha! And there was an angel in the end *_* Me likey
[ Malta ] and [ Iceland ] nice voices ^_^
[ Slovenia ] Awesome violin/instrument playing
[ Moldova ] very catchy and I think it talks about its country and culture. Very nice!
[ Belgium ] I like the classics style! Song sounds nice actually. And the additional animation was fun ^_^
I really liked these:
[ Israel ] and [ Armenia ] really amazing female duets among the entries! Israel's was so wonderful while Armenia's had been very very cute!
[ Czech Republic ] OH THIS IS JUST SO CUTE AND AMUSING!!!! LOLz to that superhero costume xD
[ Serbia ] It's so HILARIOUSLY AWESOME!!!!! xD
[ Bosnia & Herzegovina ] Whoa . . . I really like the marching sound thing . . . and overall it sounded really cool *_*

About the winner:
[ Norway ] Like what I've said in a previous post, his voice is really not that attractive . . .at least in this song. Other participants sounded better! Lyrics are actually pretty simple . .. and hhhmm . . .you could say dull. However, it was cute and the tune is nice. And I think the title really has something to do with what made it very catchy. Haha!
And oh, even if the singer has thick eyebrows like Arthur, the RL Arthur in my imagination is still HELL CUTER xD (Err . . .Alexander is not really cute to me >_>). I'm amused that some basher call the guy Frodo xD Wahahaha!
I am not sure if he deserves to be in 1st place or not, but I do think that song deserves to be in a high rank. Sadly, there are many other entries that hell deserve to be in amuch higher rank.
Like my top favorite for instance: [ Lithuania ] Sasha Son - Love
I can't believe it only got 23rd place ;_; It's so wonderful! Music style reminds me of Jason MRaz. And the song was about love, not just some stupid romantic love, but what true love really is. Oh the music video with those poor children . . .IT MADE ME CRY ;_________; Oh it's so touching. I love it *_*
I obviously got so addicted to it that I dug up for more stuff related to this and its singer:
