Some Winter Anime Episode Ones Impressions
Finally, some of the subs of the new anime of this season are up xD
Persona ~ Trinity Soul
I thought it was gonna be boring because the spoiler screenshots seemed so dull ^^; But after watching the actual episode, I realized how wrong I was xD The art style was pretty nice, and was indeed pretty dull but they became lively because of the good voice acting ^_^ The only seiyuu I've recognized was Takehito Koyasu, but the voicing on the other two main characters were also terrific! ^_^ Thanks to the good voicing and nice dialogues, there's actually some cuteness and comedy in this series . . . which is something I didn't expect because it seemed so serious to me at first impression xD
As for the story, it was cool and interesting. Makes me look forward to what's going on and what will happen next xD And besides, I'm a sucker for monsters and anything supernatural xD Hehe. Persona 3 was more entertaining though. I WANT THE SUICIDE EVOKER!!!! That's what made Persona so damn awesome in the first place -_- I dunno why the heck they removed that method -_- So disappointing. But well, putting that aside, it's still a very promising series ^_^
But the best for me in this show is the MUSIC!!!! I like the OP . . . reminds me of Darker Than Black's first OP theme for some reason. And the background music!!! OH WOOOWW!!! Just so damn awesome! I am so craving for its OST as early as now xD (I also felt this way with Baccano's OST xD). I've heard the music composer of this series is same with Gurren-Lagann's . . . NO WONDER IT'S SO AWESOME xD
I don't have a favorite character yet, but I find the three brothers likeable. There's this cool eldest brother, then there's the stubborn yet sweet and artistic (he draws!!! I love artists!!! xD) middle brother, and the youngest brother who used to be a male twins (my bias to adorable male twins xD Ohoho! But even if I pt his twin position aside, I still find him likable). ^___^ I can sense brotherly love in this series. I'm a sucker for such xD I think there's romance too. I hope it won't disappoint me like what Darker Than Black did with Hei x Amber ^^; (yeah, didn't like how their relationship turned out to be)
I liked the first episode. I see the potential in it to become very awesome ^_^ I'm gonna tune in to this series. I'll officially add it in my fandom list xD Hehe.
Wolf and Spice
I checked out the first chapter of its manga last year. It was interesting, but didn't appeal me that much. Its anime version though, did. I like the changes and additions made in the anime. The anime made the story and the characters more appealing. Its story is not the typical one like in most anime nowadays. And well, it has wolves . . .I love wolves xD Hehe. So yes, bias applied xD
The OP theme was so-so . . . the song in the ED theme bored me . . . but I like the scenes!!! Lawrence and Holo and apple!!! Haha!!! Soooo cuuuuute xD
The voice acting on the main cast totally wins here xD Just as you can expect from those who voice Lelouch and Kallen from Code Geass xD
As for the characters, no extreme favorite as of now but I like the leading pair. I guess I have a thing for white/gray/silver haired bishies ^^; His personality's not that bad either xD I am disturbed with Holo's nakedness x_X but she's pretty mischievous and cool. I like that ^_^ And I'm very very interested on their relationship because it reminds me of Lelouch and C.C.'s relationship in Code Geass xD Holo(C.C.) teases Lawrence(Lulu) in a semi-seductive way. Holo(C.C.) has lived for a long time and many other mysteries surrounds her, Holo(C.C.) has a wish and Lawrence(Lulu) can grant it (in C.C.'s case, that wish is unkown though), there's a normal girl, named Chloe (Shirley), who is close to Lawrence(Lulu) and likes him, Holo(C.C.) does some stuff that doesn't please Lawrence(C.C.) but eventually gives in and lets her do it her own way, Holo(C.C.) loves to eat apples(pizza) I think, . . . . .. oh the many parallels!!!! xD Lawrence x Holo is so similar to Lelouch x C.C. xD
I find the story very interesting so far. The characters are likable and I'm enjoying the Lelouch x C.C. similarities xD I'll be tuning in to this too xD
True Tears
I hate harem but I gave this a chance because some harem anime turned out to be very impressive (Zetsubous Sensei and CLANNAD), and it didn't seem to be perverted so I see its potential to become something likable. So I checked out its first episode and it was . . . okay. It's not that great but it doesn't suck either. The story was interesting but generally so-so. And if CLANNAD's got the Dangos, True Tears's got the chickens x_x I'm sure too much screentime of those chickens will drive me insane someday. They're even in the ED theme! Though I admit the chibis were adorable xD Hehe. As for the OP theme, it was okay . . . the song was okay . . . but for some reason I find the tune addicting ^^;
No character caught my interest in this show so far ^^; Except for the main guy I guess. I would have liked him at once if he was cuter xD Hehe. Character design wasn't bad . . . just not that appealing to my tastes ^^; Ehehe. As for the voices I only recognized Yoshino Hiroyuki's xD Hehe. Of course I always watch out for my Firo's voice =3
I expected this series to be similar to CLANNAD minus the crack. Its first episode didn't impress and entertain me like CLANNAD's did, and I really doubt it could ever reach CLANNAD's level of awesmeness ^^; This series is average. I don't see the harm on watching another eppie. but I won't be looking forward to it as much as Persona or Zoku Zetsubou Sensei xD Hehe.
Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
It's just as twisted and as awesome as the usual!!!! Wahoooo!!!!! The parodies and comedy stuff here had entertained me a lot xD WTF to the hamasho religion xD Bwahahahhaha!!!! Oh I love the crack in this show xD Makes me go ROFL all the time xD
Nozomu's adorable as always!!! The other cast are like before! YAY YAY YAY xD
The OP theme sounds nice, I can't wait to see its non-text version xD And the ED is epic!!!! So unique of SHAFT to try drawing the characters in a bishie art style. It's cool yet at the same time LOL xD Especially on how Nozomu was drawn in the end xD Wahahahaha!!! And of course, the music's very nice *_* Just as you can expect from the series voice cast ^_^ The female seiyuus of this series are terrific xD
The only thing that disappointed me in the first episode is that it featured the normal girl . . .AGAIN! Though it seems like an extended version, the first season already had an episode like that! What's with the repetition -_-; Show us somethign new damnit!!! -_-
But well, aside from that, it still got season one's awesomeness (sequels often disappoint me because they are usually worse than their prequels, like with what happened to zero no tsukaima -_-) and I can see its potential to be heck more entertaining xD Kyaaaa!!! Of course this is soooo added to my watch list. Hope the subs will be consistent now ^_^ YAY!
