They acknowledge the love between Waldsen too! <3 It's funny how people also notice that Georgina is a bit, if not a lot, in love with Serena. I guess the subtext-y chemistry is making its way into the textual side of things now. Either that or the population is gayifying up. Or they are acquiring better gaydars. (Out of complete curiosity, is it possible for straights to have gaydars too?)
