Oh, that was brilliant on so many levels. John's animosity was spot-on, I always thought he and Rose would have some harsh feelings towards the Doctor on his leaving them on the beach--even if it was for their own good. They're only human, after all.

I also loved that the Doctor came back, maybe driven by guilt. And though we don't know Matt Smith's version of Eleven yet, it worked quite nicely as taking elements of the actor and the former doctor to create the new.

Love love love.

Well I can't see either of them being all that tickled with him to be honest - that said I really think he was joking when he offered to punch him. Although with the Donna in him I'm not really so sure...John/10.5 bemuses me no end. He's fascinating.

Thank you ^_^

Perhaps the main reason 10.5 is so fascinating. That unpredictability. Fantastic.

As always, love reading your DW fics (well, and the Lost ones, too). I already said, but there. Said it again.

I've never been a first poster before, but I just had to comment about how much I loved this story. Being a pokey and probably very hypocritical shallow fangirl for not being as sure about the changing of the Time Lord guard, I really liked the exchange between the two. At first, I thought John was a bit hostile, but then realized that there was probably a lot of emotion, one of them being a reluctant fear that the Doctor had returned to make good on an old wrong, so to speak. Factoring that plus Donna's brilliant, sharp tongue made John and the Doctor all the more real to me. Actually, I was one of the few Americans who hadn't checked the spoilers at the end of Series 1 and thought that I wouldn't take to Ten either. What a silly, silly fangirl I was and that is what I keep reminding myself when it comes to Eleven, ;)

Excellent work! I look forward to reading more of your stories.

I'm about the same. I watched some of one then bits and bobs of three then went through and did the whole kit and kaboodle in one big long shot - seasons one to four so my first big changing of the guards is really going to be Ten-Eleven.

Thank you very much for your comment! I hope to be posting more stories soon, I've certainly got enough on the burner to last me a while =)

Ooooh...lovely! I really like this idea.

I need help coming to terms with the upcoming regeneration (12 year old Doctor? What the...?!) and your fic is a good way to start!

Thanks for posting!

Aw, poor Matt. I think he's going to be very interesting as the Doctor =) but I'm glad to have helped and that you enjoyed.

I think he'll be a good doctor too...just SO YOUNG! Too young for elderly old me to fancy. ;)

Awww. Hey at least he's not still a teenager - then he'd just be jailbait.
