Had a Bad Day
Today pretty much sucked. I got a lecture from my principal this morning. When that happens I usually just smile and nod and take full responsibility for whatever it is that I did or didn't do. The thing I hate is that you *know* every time you screw up she's putting it in the back of her mind to come back at you later. She's just that kind of person. It sucks. :|
I tried to move on from that today but then some parent stuff happened. Not a big deal at all but enough to annoy me. Then I had meetings this afternoon. Again not a big deal but annoying.
The topper was when I was talking to one of our APs on the way out to door and she starts talking about how we have to keep records of the kids we see and what we do every day. We kinda do that, but it isn't great. Thankfully we just ordered software that will do that for us. She said that we better keep good records and she'll need to see them at the end of every month. I have a feeling that this is from either my principal getting mad at me this morning or a complaint by someone that I don't know about yet. AP went on to say that they are already talking about cuts in the district for next year, the AP positions being one of them, and that my co-counselor and I better keep these records to justify our jobs because it is very likely that they are going to try and cut at least one of us. If you remember at the end of this last school year they tried to cut me because I haven't been in the district as long as my co-counselor has even though we started our jobs at the exact same time. :| So that was just what I wanted to hear after a craptastic day anyways, "Hey by the way you may lose your job next year so be ready for it". Bastards. Merry Christmas :|
