Wackiness
My Johnson & Wales schedule is very wacky. I'm used to having the same classes all through the semester...you know, like normal colleges. Oh no, not J & W, they SWITCH classes halfway through! Ok, not all of the classes switch, just the ones that are worth 7.5 credits.
Anyway, here is the weekly schedule starting Sept. 5:
Monday - Intro to Breads and Rolls 7:00am - 1:00pm (yeah, 6 hours, they aren't fooling around)
Tuesday - Intro to Breads and Rolls 7:00am - 1:00pm
Intro to Career Management 2:15pm - 4:10pm (At laest the break gives me time to change clothes and get a bite to eat)
Wednesday - Intro to Breads and Rolls 7:00am - 1:00pm
Sanitation Management 2:15 - 4:10pm
Thursday - Intro to Breads and Rolls 7:00am - 1:00pm
Then the schedule changes on Oct. 13 and Classical French Pastries replaces Intro to Breads and Rolls. There are a few select Fridays where I have class but that's only if the previous Monday was off. So yeah, those are some long days of classes. Especially Tuesdays and Wednesdays, yuck. And you know what else this schedule means? I get to leave to go to school before 6:00am! Yay me! But, it also means on Mondays and Thursdays I'm done with class at 1:00 which is pretty nice.
I am going to be so cranky while I'm in school, I know it. I never had a class before 8:00am and that was when I only had to walk five minutes to get there. Now I have to drive 40+ minutes and my classes are at 7:00am. Oh well, I guess it'll prime me for having to get up early to get to my eventual job as a pastry chef.
