Loans
So my financial aid is covering all but $3,100 of my tuition costs for this year. I don't qualify for a private loan by myself because I make too little, Sam doesn't qualify as a cosigner because he makes too little (cosigners have to make a minimum of $22,000 a year). So I emailed my mom asking if her or dad would cosign for me. I got an email back saying that they are going to send me a check for the $3,000. And I don't have to pay it back. ANd there was no explaination as to WHY they decided this! I called mom and she just worked her way around the subject and didn't give me a reason. I don't even know what to say. A $3,000 gift for me to go to culinary school means so much more to me then my $100,000 degree from Loyola that they paid for. Mom said all she wanted was a fantastic gourmet meal. I said no problemo.
