The thrilling kliffhanger of about 12 hours ago...

When Kristen left you on the edge of your seat...
she mentioned such things as:
SQ gig and Free Tea!
Meatloaf!
Job offer!
stand irresponsibility!

Now, the long-awaited konklusion of SUNDAY.

4 pm brought the Sax Quartet Final Gig. We played Christmasey tunes at Ground Level Coffee on Dupont and I got a grande kup of vanilla chai for free. Snoogans. When we were done playing, we asked Jenie if we kould keep the stands at the coffee house while we went a kouple doors down to the Trolley Bar for Kelly's place-of-employment's (Mariott) Christmas party. Which brings me to the next 3 points in our kliffhanger...

We went to the party with the "we'll eat dinner for free, then skip out and study for finals". We were dead wrong. We stuffed ourselves silly with food, then spent the rest of the evening out on the dance floor. And I mean THE REST OF THE EVENING. I think we only stopped for short potty breaks. It was a BLAST. Kelly even sang a Metloaf tune with the DJ! It was choice as hell! Even though the DJ was getting kynda freaky...he was really good and entertaining. He thanked us numerous tymes for keeping the dance floor going, no matter what.

Oh, I lied. There WAS a non-potty break tyme that I wasn't on the floor. There was a point where Kelly kame back out on the dance floor and said, "I just talked to some of my managers...they want to hire you." And I jokingly said, "Oh really? Based solely on my dancing skillz?" *insert move-busting here* and she replied, "No, seriously! They think you're outgoing and have a great personality!" So that's sweet. I talked to one of the managers about it, and she told me that all I have to do is pick up the phone and I have a job with their kompany. I told her that I was leaving FW in a week, and she told me that she kould get me in at the Hammond Mariott. I don't know where that is...but who knows...if other plans fall through, it's a good hookup to have! I don't think she was drunk when she said all that, either. So skore-o-rama!

Once it hit about 10:30, we realized that the coffee shop klosed at 10, and that we had totally forgotten to get the stands out before they locked up. So our stand irresponsibility stands, even as I type this statement.

We KOULD'VE done it today, true, but my kar was at the Chevy dealer, and Kelly had already run around so much that we decided to do it later. We're good for it.

Here's your happy ending, folks: The check engine light is NO LONGER LIT ON MY KAR. *insert krowd going wild* So that's taken kare of.

I'm so tired tonight and I don't know why. So I need to go study with what energy I have left. I hope you understand, but if not, *insert expletive of your choice here* (on) you.

I haven't done high point/low point lately...I don't think I will anymore. Ha! Look, that's taken kare of, isn't it?

fort wayne, christmas, gigs
