Things are so rough right now. Not just our town, but all of the cities including and surrounding Cedar Rapids have been ordered to conserve water as there is only a 1 and a half day supply left. Downtown still has 10+ feet of water in some places. All of the bridges are closed off, and nearly all of the major roads and highways are closed as well. Up until today we kept losing power and our internet. These are all trivial things to complain about... in reality we are really blessed to have not been directly affected by major flooding. While our basement is wet, we know people in the area whose basements are flooded to the floor above it. Things could have been so much worse for us, and yet... it's still pretty bad. Money is such a huge issue right now, paying rent on two locations through August and the extra utility bills we acquired over the last month, and just today we had to spend money we don't have on bottled water and baby wipes because we can't take showers and can't use the water. I feel like I don't have the right to complain, and yet I am.
