My super sweet husband surprised me when I awoke on Saturday morning with a kitchen cleaner than I've seen it in months! He said he could see that I was trying to get caught up on all the housework earlier in the week and he wanted to help. Listen up guys... if you ever want to seriously impress your lady, pitch in with the housework without being told. It seems like such a simple thing, but it says so much more than material gifts ever could. Of course, hopefully you'll at least have a dishwasher. We don't. :(
I hope everyone had a nice Easter. Mine was very laid back, because Jerry and I slept in and didn't get around to doing anything until after 1pm. We dropped by the in-laws' house to chat for a bit before dinner. Since all of the restaurants closed early, Jerry's dad went to the grocery store to get a few things and we all settled down with sandwiches and chips to watch Vacancy.
Please keep Jerry's job in your prayers. The company is laying off a bunch of people in the coming week and one of the supervisors will be forced to step down from the position. We're hoping it's not Jerry, but you never know. It would be really bad for him to take a $3 cut in pay though. It would halt a lot of our plans right now, which would totally suck.
Not a whole lot is going on besides that. I think my back is mostly healed. I ordered a couple of beginners pilates dvds in hopes that I can start getting more flexible and build up the muscles in my back. I'm also starting a low carb diet, since it worked so well for me before. However, since it got so boring the last time I was on it, I found a weekly meal plan at
e-mealz that should help a lot with mixing it up a bit.
