Two paths diverge in the forest? Maybe?
Talked to a prof. today for the Molecular Evolution class I took when I first moved to Indiana. In what I assumed was a vain attempt to find funding for full time graduate work, I offered my services as resident 'TA Bitch' for the semester. Finally got ahold of his ass today, and the answer I got was "Well Sonya, we would LOVE to have you, I talked to Mark (the other prof on record) and we would both be delighted if you could TA for us... BUT... we need to make sure that all the qualified students in the Biology department have positions first. If they do, we would love to have you!"
Heres to hoping every other qualified grad student I took that class with has a position already!
I did after all get the highest grade in that class, c'mon damnit, I DESERVE this!
So, fingers crossed I wait with baited breath on pins and needles yada yada all those old cliches to find out if I can begin my full-time sojourn into being a broke ass graduate student. Wish me luck!
