So, this is the first entry in my little live journal then ? Honestly, I'd care a little more about what I say here if I didn't think this was a little bit of an self-centered indulgence on my part. Yeah, yeah, it's not about ego, its part of the beauty of an infinitely connected cyberspace where people from all walks of life and all cultures can exchange ideas and communicate in order to promote the increase in global harmony and such random tripe like that. My answer to that is such: I challenge you to find true communication and intimacy in any manner while sitting isolated in front of a mollifying glowing blue screen. Something to think on perhaps. Do we truly treat machines like people as some have suggested, and if so can this indeed increase our understanding and communication with each other, or are we entering an age where we have a rapidly increasing number of ways to instantly speak with each other, and tell ourselves we remain in contact with those we care about, without actually communicating with each other? Hehe... God I love NPR inspired ramblings.
