Labor day weekend we got all moved into Mom's. We are still settling stuff about but it is going alright. We have determined that we will likely stay until spring, because I don't foresee us finding an apartment before Lorelei makes her appearance and than winter will follow, and who wants to move in the icy winter?
So, we are situating Lorelei's stuff in the further back living room, and this will be her main space. We have almost all of our projects done as well. Her dresser has been stripped, painted and I painted the vines on it today. It turned out very pretty! This week, we will situate the furniture and...I get to fill the dresser!
She has dropped down a bit, and we are unsure of her position anymore because I feel all kinds of movements, every where. I just know that the third boob isn't there anymore! I have gotten a few people who are usually right on with predictions that say it's a matter of a week or two now. Drew and I both woke up with that feeling on our own as well.
Any which way, we have less than a month until the due date, so I am starting to really get things together and get excited! I have one more project left and that is to do the decorative painting on the crib.
Furniture has cost us only $50 including the paint and for that, we are blessed. However, this little girl will be blessed with some heirloom pieces as well. Her dresser was built for her great grandmother by her great great great grandfather, and passed down to her Grandma, and than me and now her. Her bassinet is on at least generation 3 or 4. She is very fortunate, and it is one of my goals to make sure that she sees herself as fortunate for these things and not just in a way similar to 'hand me downs'.
I am very excited to meet my daughter and hold her in my arms.
