It's getting down to the wire for me to start making decisions about a job. I'm supposed to respond to Blackbaud next week about taking that position. I actually ran into a girl today who I met while down there who goes to App and took the position. She's living with a friend down their who also took the position and they've already got their apartment and everything. She is going to go ahead and start May 1st b/c she doesn't have exams. I wouldn't be able to do that b/c I have exams. So I'd have to wait until July 17 (the day before my bday!!). Heh, so we'll see. I'm still very torn.
I had my job interview with Lowe's and really enjoyed myself. I got VERY excited about the possibility of Lowes. I'm not very excited about living in Wilkesboro, but, I feel like I'd used my degree more with the Lowe's position. Either way, they called me back (not to offer the position officially) but to get some more information about where I'd like to be within the company. They're supposed to contact me again this week for the official offer but they haven't yet. I REALLY wish that they would b/c I wanna start making my definite decisions.
I think I've pretty much decided that if Lowe's offers me enough money then I will go with that job. I'm supposed to have a job interview on Friday for a place in Franklin, NC. How BORING would that be?!
Here are my pros and cons between Lowe's and BlackBaud..give me your thoughts :)
Lowes
Pros: Using my degree
Staying close to friends/family
Working for 2 years then moving to a bigger city
More money (i hope)
Lower cost of living
Cons: Wilkesboro :( (Not going away like I always thought I would)
Possibily just taking it to be done with interviewing and such?
Blackbaud
Pros: Awesome company
Great benefits
Great facility to work in
Fun people (young ppl)
Charleston!!!! (Ocean!)
Cons: Not using my degree
Higher Cost of living
LESS money
Alright, so let me know what you think :)
