I have seen the Gateway to Oblivion...at a BP.
Why do I even bother waking up in the morning? Every day, I get up, shower, dress and go out into the world to be confronted by stupidity, arrogance, ignorance, and selfishness. I was accosted at a gas station on my way to work today by a man who asked for any spare change I might have. This man was wearing dirty, torn clothes and smelled of sour milk and alcohol. I said, "Plenty" hopped in my car and drove away. Now, I have nothing but respect for people who work hard and make something of themselves, but I can not tolerate anyone, of any race, with so little self respect that they can't find some kind of work and then have the gall to ask me to pay for their expenses.
If anyone says they can't find a job, they are lying through their teeth. Someone will hire you, you just have to find them. I support the dregs of society enough when I pay my taxes and see how much the Government spends on welfare. Before you all jump on my back, I am well aware that there are good, hardworking people on welfare who have just hit hard times. Those people, however, find jobs and work to pull themselves up from poverty. Private charities can take care of those people, I'm not worried about them. The people I'm talking about are the human parasites who sit in thier Lay-Z-Boy crying "GIMME GIMME GIMME! Gimme free health care, gimme free food, gimme a house, gimme MONEY!" Giving them a welfare check is about equivalent to giving Michael Bay a screenplay, nothing good will come of it. I believe we should abolish the welfare state, force these people to work for a living instead of having one handed to them. That is enough for now, I'm off to bed and the hope of a better tomorrow that will never come. Feel free to discuss/argue.
